Improvement of CHILDdren care teaching as a template
for upgrading medical education in Central Asia

ChildCA Project aims to support the modernization, professionalization and internationalization of postgraduate training in 8 universities of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the fields of Pediatrics, Pediatric Surgery and Child Neuropsychiatry

Meetings
ChildCA Project, within its first year of activities, has undergone two major meetings: the kick-off meeting in Pavia, Italy (February 20th – 22nd 2019) and the project coordination meeting in Bukhara, Uzbekistan (September 10th – 13th 2019). The former has been instrumental in setting the basis for project management; the latter has been of paramount importance in terms of project implementation and discussing the content of the new curricula to be adopted in the partner institutes, in order to modernize their teaching systems in the field of paediatrics.

Next Steps & events
After having gone through the preparatory phases of the project, ChildCA is now getting to the heart of its developmental stage, which braches out into some main activities such as the installation of rooms for virtual learning in the partner institutes, the realization of staff exchanges for training, and drafting updated curricula which are going to be presented to national authorities during the next project meeting in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on October 2020.Learn more about our project next steps and following meetings:
